Written by Comms Team, May 31, 2022
Clinics will be unavailable the week of May 30
Peterborough Public Health will be moving the COVID-19 mass immunization clinic from the Healthy Planet Arena. Starting June 6, the COVID-19 vaccine clinics will be held temporarily at the Peterborough Public Health office at 185 King St., Peterborough ON.
For the week of May 30, clinics run by Peterborough Public Health will be unavailable as Peterborough Public Health moves out of the Healthy Planet Arena. However, the GO-VAXX mobile clinic will be coming to Lansdowne Place Mall in Peterborough on Thursday, June 2 from 10:00am to 6:00pm and will have the Pfizer vaccine available for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and booster doses for adults and youth aged 12 and up, as well as the pediatric Pfizer vaccine available for children aged 5-11. Residents are also encouraged to reach out to local participating pharmacies to book an appointment for their COVID-19 vaccine during this week.
Starting Monday, May 30, residents aged 5 and up can book an appointment for our clinic beginning on June 6 located at 185 King St., Peterborough ON. At this time, walk-in appointments are unavailable.
For both the GO-VAXX mobile clinic as well as the new Peterborough Public Health clinic at 185 King St., appointments can be booked:
- Over the phone by calling 1-833-943-3900 OR;
- Online at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/book-vaccine/
Please be sure to state that it is the GO-VAXX mobile clinic when calling to book an appointment.
Residents can still receive a COVID-19 vaccine from participating pharmacies. Pharmacy locations can be found on the provincial webpage at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/vaccine-locations.
“We want to thank the City of Peterborough for allowing us to use the Healthy Planet Arena over the past two years. We have been incredibly fortunate to work with the City staff and health care partners to provide over 350,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in the Peterborough region,” said Dr. Thomas Piggott, Medical Officer of Health. “Vaccines are still a valuable tool for preventing moderate to severe infections and we encourage everyone to remain up-to-date with their COVID-19 vaccines.”
Peterborough Public Health is working to determine a more permanent solution for our mass immunization clinic. Please review the clinic calendar at www.peterboroughpublichealth.ca/vaccineclinics for any updates.
