March 12, 2015 – Agreement Ratified by Board of Health and ONA Members
After a full day of bargaining, Peterborough Public Health announced this morning that it had reached a new collective agreement with ONA members.
The Board of Health ratified the agreement at last night’s board meeting. ONA members also ratified their agreement yesterday evening, confirming the three-year contract with annual wage increases of 0.5%, 0.5% and 3%.
“We are very pleased that our conciliation sessions with ONA proved successful,” said Dr. Rosana Salvaterra. “Through the hard work of both sides we were able to reach a fair agreement and this allows us to avoid a labour disruption and resume our focus on the important work of public health.”
The Board is still in negotiations with CUPE and further details will be released as they become available. Residents are advised to check www.peterboroughpublichealth.ca for the latest updates on public health services and the current negotiation status.
