Travel Vaccinations
Last Updated: June 17, 2024
PLEASE NOTE: Peterborough Public Health no longer offers travel health services.
With the release of the new Ontario Public Health Standards in January 2018, public health agencies are no longer mandated to provide travel health services. This is because many travel vaccinations are now widely available at most pharmacies across Ontario and through your own healthcare provider. Travel health information is also available online at the following websites:
Center for Disease Control & Prevention: Vaccines, Medicines, Advice
Center for Disease Control & Prevention: Yellow Book
Government of Canada: Travel and Tourism
Public Health Agency of Canada:
- Travel-related diseases
- Travelling abroad? Protect yourself from infected insects
- Mosquito bite prevention for travellers
- Insect bite prevention
- Insect repellents
